Italians do it better
Italians do it better. Just kiddin', relax....
...No I'm kiddin' again, Italians really do it better.
That the tattoo is one of the oldest forms of artistic expression of man is now commonly accepted and the continuing discoveries of testimonials in this sense by the anthropologists we confirm that this practice has been widespread and is culturally significant. No one knows exactly why the tattoo has always aroused much allure over men, nor know the origins and roots of the impulse that moves them towards it, but it is certain that the gesture of affect their skin a sign is indissolubly linked to the primary act of making art with any instrument and probably this mystery is still an important part of its charm.
Those who decide to get tattooed decides to perform an act of final expression, irrational and intimately personal and almost always signs that chooses to affect skin are meant to produce a transformation of her body that strengthens the positive image he has of himself. The tattoo is a serious and profound gesture but is at the same time also a game as are all other forms of body decoration: have fun, play with themselves and with their bodies is an important part of the tattoo. For this reason, the tattoo has always had a social positive reading in primitive civilizations; It's just where authoritarian and repressive systems you are appropriate directly to it as an instrument of punishment and humiliation-such as in traditional Christian-Jewish society that it arouses anguish, rejection and repulsion. This perhaps explains why the tattoo causes we still charm but also concern; Why continue to be marginalized and ignored by the official culture and relegated between the counterculture phenomena while more and more people of all social strata they do own, even publicly without any problem.
In the world there are millions of talented artists who dedicate their lives to brand the skin of someone elses with symbols that tell some special history. Some of these fantastic artists you can find it here, in my country: Italy.

I might be hours to tell the story of each one of them, the style, the technique, life. But I decided to show you just some photos of their works performed.
I think these same photos are able to tell the personality of each of these artists.
I hope you enjoy them.
Recent from Tattoo Artists
I remeber that back in 1996, at the middle school final exams precisely, my left hand was stained by an obsolete copying pencil and my right one smelled like deodorant stick. In the last 15 years i've been lucky enough to work with prestigious artists, some of which became good friends afterwards. Since then lot of things changed, but still every evening my left hand is stained by a modern hectographic paper, and the other one smells like dettol. - SAMUELE BRIGANTI
I always wanted to become a tattoo artist, since I was a child - PABLO DE
My desire to represent the bodies as realistic as possible wants to bring the public to real sensations that we tend to forget the everyday life. - ANDREA LANZI
