For the past four months, Suzie Barry Hamilton, has gotten inked by a good tattooed samaritan named Jason Ward in Hamilton, New Zealand. (Tattoo artist at Muscle & Ink Tattoo studio).
"First time she came in, she just walked in & slapped a couple of stick-on tattoo packets on the desk & asked me to put them on her arm; Jason told the NZ Herald. "I said, 'what?!' and she said it again so i sat her down & put them on."
Suzie, who is a regular, coming in every Friday, says it makes her feel 'equal'. "It started out as something quite funny though, I mean, who does that? Who walks in a tattoo shop to get stick on tattoos?" laughed Jason
;But if she was a member of my family & she had have walked into another tattoo shop & they had told her to bugger off, i'd be angry;
Suzie is particularly fond of Maori tattoo designs and local media reports say that Suzie attends a vocational day base facility nearby and returns there frequently to compare her tattoos with others.
"I didn't even know her name until Monday when everything went nuts on the internet but I still don't know a lot about her",described Jason who's been trying to get her to talk.
Such a heartwarming story.
