Tattoos are permanent, that is the fundamental principle any time a person chooses to get one.
Of course there will always be little niggling questions before hand, will I still want it in five years? What if it doesn't come out right? etc. However until you take the plunge you may never find out, but for one young father clearly such questions were unnecessary. He knew what he wanted so he went ahead and got it. The tattoo in question was a portrait of his son, nothing wrong with that of course, only the tattoo was on the side of his face!!!
Portrait tattoos are perhaps the ultimate tattoo tribute to someone you love and when completed can be some of the most impressive tattoos out there. This father was in reality just showing the love for his child by getting his portrait but maybe he should have thought about placement just a little more!
As all tattoo lovers know face tattoos are not for the faint hearted, they basically determine the rest of your life, they change the way people look and see you, they greatly effect employment and of course you will be forever branded as that person with the tattooed face. Obviously there is nothing wrong with face tattoos but you should always think of the consequences.
Would you get a face tattoo? If so would it be a portrait or are they just a big no?
