EXTREME BODY ART: Artist sews Portraits of People into his Hand

Spanish Artist David Cata sews portraits of people into his hand! Yup, better believe it...
....'cause yes, it's true! David Cata uses his body as a canvas for writing his very own autobiographical diary---by sewing portraits of meaningful people into the palm of his hand in a unique series called "A Flor de Piel". Let's check it out & be amazed! O_O
The portraits sewn belonged to those who have left a mark on his life --- family, friends, partners and teachers.
"Mi Novia Tamara".
"Their lives have been interwoven with mine.", says Cata. "Every moment lived stays in the memory to finally be forgotten. Somehow, this fact is painful, since there are only material things & traces that people leave behind".
"Mi Primer Profesor de Fotografia, Manuel Sendon".

David Cata's woven fleshwork is a unique & praiseworthy performance art that shows the reality that people come and go, and whatever memories they've left, whether painful or sweet, will stay embedded into our lives (just like a tattoo) FOREVER. :'-) Without these people, we wouldn't be who we are now.
"Mi Prima Anita".
"Mi Hermano Javi".
"Abuelo Cata".
"Mi Profesor de Aceordeon, Lino".
"Mi Prima Maria".
Kudos, David Cata, for the inspiration & exquisite way of Art you brought us!
Whew! Wonder how that felt! >_<
"In my Heart is a memory... and there you will always be".
Have an inspiring day, everyone! Make the memories count. ;-)
