The Amazon rainforest is one of the biggest forest of our planet. Forests are our vegetal lungs, as their trees are producing the oxygen which keep us alive. To earn more and more money, some businessmen are over-exploiting and endangering the Amazon rainforest. The deforestation is a threat for the gorgeous plants of the jungle, the amazing animal species, but also the tribes living in harmony with the forest. Many of these indigenous, called indians, have not even been in contact with us yet. And the fact they are not living with modernity doesn't mean they are primitive. These tribes have complex and fascinating arts. The Kayapo and Shipibo tribes, for example, have incredibly gorgeous geometric art. They are using body arts such tattoos and body modifications which could make jealous our Western artists. The Shipibo-Conibo indians are creating intricate patterns with sacred geometry and they use them on craft and tattoo ceremonies to connect with the spiritual world. These patterns are more and more used by tattoo artists in the world for their ethnic-inspired pieces. The culture of Amazonian people is worth knowing and we also need to respect and protect it. They love the jungle, know each plant and each animal. By protecting these people and their ecosystem, we are also protecting our planet and giving a future to our children. There is 10 things you can do to protect the Amazon rainforest, and you can add an eleventh: you can get gorgeous tattoos to raise awareness and show your love for this beautiful part of the world and its inhabitants.
