When an elderly relative goes missing from their care home the last thing you expect is to find them in a tattoo shop getting some ink, but for one great-grandmother it was just an adventure she couldn't miss! Sadie Sellers aged 79 and a great-grandmother of 11 left her family in shock after her son came to visit her only to find she was missing. It was soon discovered that she had actually left the care home to go and get a tattoo to match her granddaughter Samantha's!!
The folks down at Tattoo Studio 76 were equally as shocked, for a woman who had only left the care home twice in the last year going for a tattoo was not expected, shop manager Gordon Bell definitely hadn't expected it.
She came in on her zimmerframe; I was shocked. She came in to get a matching tattoo with her granddaughter of a love heart, and she was great. The oldest customer we've ever had was 83, but I wouldn't say we're used to having customers of that age in all the time! We had no idea she'd gone missing, we only found out afterwards.
Customers in the shop were equally as shocked and not just by what they were seeing but also what they were hearing, upon being asked what her family would think of the small heart outline tattoo Sadie offered a short and sweet reply; ‘I don’t f***ing care’.
