15 Watchmen Tattoos For All Comic Fans!

Yep, Watchmen tattoos are a thing and they are awesome! Here are 15 of the best for your inner comic fan!!
Watchmen is an American comic book series published by DC comics between 1986-1987 that came from the mind of legendary writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons and colorist John Higgins. The series is set in an alternate history where superheroes emerged in the 1940s and 1960s and helped win the Vietnam War for America! Twenty years later however superheroes/costumed vigilantes are outlawed and most former superheroes work for the US government, a government that is edging closer to nuclear war with the Soviet Union. The story follows the struggles and development of the main superhero protagonists; Rorschach, The Comedian, Doctor Manhattan, Nite Owl, Ozymandias and Silk Spectre after the gruesome murder of a government backed superhero draws them out of retirement!
Moore used the series as a way to reflect contemporary anxieties and to take apart and parody the preexisting superhero concept and structure. The series is considered one of the most significant literary works of the 20th century and remains a success decades after it's initial publication. In 2009 the series was further adapted into the movie Watchmen directed by Zack Snyder, and of course like any successful comic series Watchmen has a loyal and dedicated fan base some of which have shown their love of the characters in ink!
