Guy Accidentally Gets A Windows 7 Tattoo In Chinese
Here's a classic story of a Chinese symbol tattoo gone wrong.
For years, non-Chinese people think it's so cool to get a tattoo in another language. I can't blame you. It does look cool and exotic when done the right way, and not to mention, it gets people curious. “What does it say?” is what you'll get the most. And that's when it gets ugly. Unless you really know how the Chinese characters work, you have no way of telling what your forsaken tattoo means.
Take this man for example. As Plymouth tattoo artist Doc Price recalls, he once encountered this guy who really thought he was doing something pretty neat for his girlfriend—by getting her name in what was supposed to be Chinese characters tattooed on his neck. Yes, the neck, of all places.
"This chap I knew had his girlfriend's name tattooed on the back of his neck - or rather, what he thought was his girlfriend's name," Doc tells.
"But my girlfriend, who is from Thailand, wasn't so sure. So we took him to see a friend of ours who is Chinese and we asked her, 'What does this say here?' She looked at it and said, 'Why have you got a Windows 7 tattoo on your neck?' We couldn't stop laughing.
"I think it was probably a case of one of these holiday tattoo places making a quick buck out of the tourists. The tattoo artist wouldn't have known how to spell his girlfriend's name in Chinese so probably just Googled it or something!"

We wish that was really the case, though. But we're guessing that the dude probably ran into one of those fed up Chinese tattoo artist who decided to play a cruel joke and tattooed some random, very unsentimental word to the client, knowing it will take him a while to actually figure out what it means. Pretty nasty, but he had it coming, really.
But if it will make you feel any better, here's a Chinese woman with a random English word tattooed on her.
