Anti-Isis Fighter Pays Tribute To Fallen Friend With Tattoo!
The fight against the extremist militant group Isis is one that people from all manner of nations and backgrounds have taken up.
Australians Mitchell Scott and Reece Harding left Queensland back in May to join Kurdish YPG, a group of freedom fighters battling against the Islamic State. Both men left their homeland with the goal to 'liberate innocent women and children' and take up arms in a war they chose to aid. Under the Australian Foreign Fighters Bill anyone fighting in a conflict in a declared terror zone would be arrested on return to Australia, so if Scott or Harding were to return to their homeland a lengthy prison sentence could await them!
Sadly Harding was killed in action during a night operation after an explosion from a landmine. To honor his fallen friend Scott immortalized his brother in arms in ink! Stopping by Studio S Tattoo while on break in Sweden Scott got a black and grey portrait of a smiling Reece tattooed on his right shoulder. Harding is the second Australian known to have been killed in the fight against Isis.
'Final Piece done he always had my back not gunna let him stop now. Alex Rodolfo is the artist of this masterpiece.'
Harding's parents offered their support of Scott's tattoo, his mother offering this statement 'My Reece will always be smiling thanks to Ash xoxo. Likewise Harding's father commented saying 'Don't know what to say Ash - Beautiful'.
