Save My Ink is a service that let's people’s tattooed skin be preserved as eternal pieces of art.
This cool idea puts the piece of retrieved skin through a process that allows it stop decaying - making these tattoos actually last forever!
The service has supposedly started beginning of this month and has already successfully preserved 21 pieces of skin art.
The businessman and founder Charles Hamm, said that the idea came to him naturally as he realized how much time, money, and effort he had put into his body art. Save My Ink was only right because "You would never burn a Picasso or any piece of art you invested in and had a passion for.” as he says.
Registering for this service involves paying a small registration fee and a $60 annual fee. Once the registered person dies, the family has 18 hours to notify Save My Ink who then has the responsibility to organize the tattoo skin removal within the next 60 hours. The art is then returned to the family some months later in a nice frame. Check out the video below!
