15 Splendid Russian Dome Tattoos

A creative and memorable Russian dome tattoos were first popularized within the criminal world, including Russian prisons.
An iconic symbol of Russian architecture the Russian dome, or more often onion dome, is a dome that's shape resembles an onion and is predominantly found on Russian Orthodox Churches. A classic symbol of Russia the onion domes are also found on such iconic buildings as the Kremlin. Now while onion domes are found in other countries such as Germany, Austria, Italy and parts of Asia, it is Russia with that the dome finds itself most recognized and associated.
Each dome was said to represent a different prison sentence, so the hardest of criminals would proudly wear a number of different domes. More recently Russian dome tattoos have lost some of their darker connotations and instead have become a more expressive tattoo of Russian culture and tradition. Inspired by the Kremlin or just love Russian architecture in general then these Russian dome tattoos will certainly please!!
