100 Years Of American Tattoo History In One Week
"100 Years of Beauty" features a woman who got 11 tattoos in one week for the sake of American tattoo history.
WatchCut Video gets inky in their latest 100 Years of Beauty episode, featuring 100 years of American style tattoos and how it evolved in the last 11 decades since the time of tattoo legend Charlie Wagner.
100 Years of Beauty is known to take on volunteers for a whirlwind makeover to celebrate a century of beauty standards of a certain culture. But this one's a little different. For one, it's going to take one week. Oh, and did we mention that this involves getting 11 different tattoos of a certain style in the course of one week?
When she first saw the offer WatchCut Video posted online, volunteer Casey Lubin thought it was a crazy idea. And like some crazy ideas, this one sounded crazy enough to be good for Casey.
In true 100 Years of Beauty format, Casey went through several sessions—wherein one tattoo artist is chosen to represent each decade of American tattoos.
From tattoo legend Charlie Wagner's classic black and grey to Nikko Hurtado's phenomenal hyperrealistic portraits, WatchCut Video goes over the most notable artists and pieces in the last decade of American tattoo history.
