Relieve the ache and breaks of the movie 500 Days of Summer with these lovely tattoos inspired by some significant elements from the movie.
Let me tell you something: 500 Days of Summer is bound to wreck you. Not because it's as epic as some of your favorite Marvel movies or something, but this film will get to you on a personal level. It will get under your skin and all throughout the movie if you're up for an emotional rollercoaster ride. The narrator will tell you up front that this is not a love story. But you'll pretty much forget about that part once you see how blue Summer's (Zooey Deschanel) eyes are and how bright they look with the sun reflecting from them. And you'll see yourself in Tom as he falls in love with her.
The first time I watched it, I hated Summer by the end of the movie and felt sorry for Tom because I wanted my life to be a Nicholas Sparks novel as much as he did. By the twenty-second time I watched it, I still hated Summer but I reconsidered what I think about Tom as I didn't like him that much anymore and chose to watch Thor 2 instead!
You know you loved this fluff scene.
If anything, 500 Days of Summer should teach you that she's not perfect for you just because you listen to the same band.
Color my life with the chaos of trouble...
You couldn't have watched 500 Days of Summer if The Smiths do not ring a bell in any way to you:
A quote Tom wrote for a card when he was still seeing Summer. “It's these cards and the movies and the pop songs, they're to blame for all lies and the heartache, everything.”
Tom: Nobody loves Ringo Starr.
Summer: That's what I love about him.
“Just because she likes the same bizzaro crap you do doesn't mean she's your soul mate.” —Rachel to Tom
A spark of hope flickered inside Tom (and the rest of us) when the train ride scene happened and we once again forgot that this film isn't a love story.
A representation of how Tom's architect heart must feel like.
Summer reminds me of flowers. She's pretty and everything but it won't be long before she loses her lustre. Nevertheless, daisies are one of the prettiest flowers in the summer.
Watching 500 Days of Summer is like falling in and out of love all over again. It's watching two confused people try to get a grasp of each other in their own ways and failing to do so.
To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die... Who's the Summer of your life?
