Remember The 5Th Of November With These Guy Fawkes Mask Tattoos
With its moustache and sly grin, the Guy Fawkes mask tattoos are one of the most prominent symbol for rebellion and resistance to authority.
The Guy Fawkes mask we all know today was popularised by the graphic novel, V for Vendetta. That's right, the legit Guy Fawkes apparently never wore the infamous mask. Adapted today by modern-day anarchists and the notorious hacker group Anonymous, the Guy Fawkes mask made its way to the mainstream scene and has been glamorised by anybody with views that challenges the norm.
But before putting the pale mask on, one should know who exactly is the man behind the mask and what exactly makes him so damn special? Oh, not much. He just tried to blow up the English Parliament in 1605 to reestablish a Roman Catholic monarchy in England. Maybe the real Guy Fawkes isn't exactly the model anarchist everybody who looks up to him like to think of him as, but the act alone to resist those in power is what inspired many to put on the Guy Fawkes mask and even get their Guy Fawkes Mask tattoos done.
An excellent black and grey portrait of the man in the mask.
