Tattoo Artist Dad Lets 4-Year-Old Daughter Tattoo Him
A tattoo artist from Florida is under fire from people on social media after posting a photo with his daughter at a tattoo session.
Brad "bob-tat" Bellomo is a tattooed dad from Florida. He owns 3rd Eye Tattoo in Largo and often brings his 4-year-old daughter Chloe to work, letting her draw on one of the tables as they set up for the day. Bellomo teaches Chloe a thing or two about tattooing now and then, sparking the little girl's interest in ink.
It seems that Chloe took after him in more ways than one. The little girl had been drawing from a very young age, growing up surrounded by art. But lately, the toddler became very interested in a slightly different kind of art than she's accustomed to.
As soon as Bellomo posted the photo collage of his daughter tattooing him and a closer look on the tiny strawberry tattoo she gave him, people started sharing the post and providing their own opinions.
While many reacted positively towards the post, some—many of them who don't even know Bellomo personally—were angered by the photo and reported it for various reasons. “ ...People reported it for nudity and just people hating, and trying to get it off there saying it was offensive,” says Bellomo. He's also unable to log on to his Facebook account anymore which is hurting his business.

Facebook advised him to change his name instead to keep the unwanted attention away from his profile and page but that's not a very good option for Brad because the nickname “bob-tat” is what he's known for and he can't just easily replace a name with an acquired reputation. It's also how his potential customers will be able to find him.
We think this is a beautiful way a tattooed parent can bond with his child, and although we can see the implications and the chances the child might think of tattooing herself, we hope that tattoo artist Brad “bob-tat” Bellomo will take extra precautions raising a budding tattoo artist.
But other than that, we're all for tattooed moms and dads. You rock!
