78 year old Sandi Juneby got her first ink in honour of her favourite band, The Grateful Dead
Juneby, The Grateful Dead Fan since the 70's thought that now could be the best time than ever to express her love for the band. Coming back to civilisation after spending nearly 40 years in the Alaska wilderness, but never forgetting what they meant to her!
"I decided that no matter how old I got, it wouldn't make a difference. Age has nothing to do with it. This for me, I don't know if I can even explain. It has a great deal of meaning," she said.
The work was done by Jason Doll, owner of Doll's Studios. Even though it was Juneby's first tattoo, she said it won't be her last!
The Grateful Dead was a huge hippie movement band in the 60's and since then they have had a big part in the psychedelic culture of the 60's and 70's in the USA. Until today people use their colourful designs as base for psychedelic works! Check it out:
