Polish tattoo artist Rafael Makarov really got us with his brand of mash-up tattoos of what I can only attempt to describe as a portrait thrown into a vat of flaming eccentricity in a madhouse art gallery.

Makarov turns normal portraits into an art collage style piece that involves fusing three or more art styles such as semi-realism, hyperrealism, abstract, and sketch to bring icons like Salvador Dali to sweet, glorious life.

He also uses lots of bold colours and basic shapes to fill in the portraits.
