Welsh Rugby Fan Gets National Team Players Tattooed on his arm
A Welsh rugby fan has shown his team pride by getting three of the national team players tattooed on his arm!
With the Six Nations Championship just around the corner, rugby fans across the world are getting in the zone for some intense matches and epic clashes of deeply patriotic teams. A welsh fan however has gone above and beyond in showing his love for the Wales national team by getting three portrait tattoos of Welsh internationals Sam Warburton, Jamie Roberts and Shane Williams!
Any rugby fan knows that Wales has some of the most dedicated fans out there but 20 year-old construction worker Luke White is surely one of the most dedicated. For the last couple of months he's been working on getting a Welsh rugby themed tattoo that to date incorporates 3 player portraits, the Millennium Stadium and the Prince of Wales feathers on his shoulder. On his inner arm are the words 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' ("Old Land of My Fathers"), the title of the Welsh national anthem.
White explained is choice of the Warburton, Williams and Roberts as the players he got tattooed because of their meaning to him and his love of the Welsh national team.
Recent from Sports
“Shane is a Welsh legend and the country's record try-scorer and Sam Warburton has broken so many records as well as captaining Wales and the British Lions. Jamie Roberts is a great player and a great guy and he plays in my position too.”
“I haven't got plans to have any more players tattooed but I have got some ideas to help make it into a three-quarter sleeve and extend part of it on to my chest...“I've got nine hours of inking planned in February but it's something I'm looking forward to completing.”
Clearly a die hard Welsh rugby fan, Mr.White, has definitely shown his team pride with his tattoo, but whether Wales will win the 2016 Six Nations is something we'll have to find out. In the meantime be sure to let us know what you think of this rugby inspired tattoo. Would you show your team the same dedication?
