It seems that the ‘Fifty Shades’ actress has one more cheeky story from the filming of the notorious BDSM-inspired novel-turned-film.
Dakota Johnson was quite the tattoo enthusiast in her younger years. “I went through a phase where I loved tattoos, and I loved the feeling of getting tattooed,” Johnson told Vogue. “But now I’ve outgrown them mostly, and [because] I always have to cover them for jobs, God, they’re annoying!”
The young actress' past love for ink proved to be a hurdle during the filming of the Valentine's film of 2015, Fifty Shades of Grey.
“We did have a butt double for Dakota. I had the pleasure of casting a non-tattooed bottom,” revealed Seamus McGarvey, the film’s cinematographer to New York Times along with other explicit details behind the sex scenes in the film.
Butt tattoos, after all, weren't exactly fitting for Johnson's virginal character, Anastasia Steele.
Apart from the cheeky backside tattoo, the 26-year-old has a few other tattoos from her younger years.
Prominently, the one on her left upper arm reads “Acta Non Verba” which is Latin for “Deeds Not Words.”
While the constellation on her right foot says, “Look At The Moon.”
Johnson also got swallows inked on her back.
Unsurprisingly, the actress has a behind-the-ear tattoo of something rather vague.
She also has “amor” on the back of her neck. She shares the same tattoo on the same spot with mother, Melanie Griffith. Her favorite? A tattoo of an Aldous Huxley quote from Island, “Lightly my darling,” which she shares with half-sister, Stella Banderas.
