Kansas City Outfielder Paulo Orlando Has Put His MLB Debut In Ink!
Outfielder for the Kansas City Royals Paulo Orlando made quite the MLB debut so he decided to put it in ink!!
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Orlando took up baseball aged 12 and never looked back. After playing 1,017 minor league games Orlando made the switch to the Kansas City Royals and achieved a childhood dream by playing on the ultimate stage of baseball.
Making his debut for the Royals on April 9 2015 Orlando became the third Brazilian-born player in Major League history and made quite the start to his MLB career. Hitting his first major league hit, a triple off Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks was the first MLB hit for a born-and-raised Brazilian player! Just three days later Orlando became the first player in MLB history to record three triples as his first three base hits. On April 20th Orlando continued his bright start as he hit his fifth triple in his first seven games, establishing a new major league record for "the fewest games to hit five triples to open a career".
It's no surprise then that Orlando decided to commemorate his MBL debut with a new tattoo.
The design, on Orlando's back, was done in Brazil at Skink Social Club and features the players MLB debut date as well as Orlando himself swinging a bat.

The image of Orlando is of when he hit his first Major League home run against the New York Yankees on May 26.
On November 1st 2015 Orlando also became the first Brazilian-born player to win a World Series. We wonder if he'll put that into a tattoo at some time in the future...
