The superstar pays tribute to the superstar in ink just hours before her awaited David Bowie tribute performance at the Grammys.
Whilst critics on Gaga's recent Grammys performance were on largely different sides—some thinking it was too flashy and some who wouldn't have it any other way—let's put the spotlight on her newest addition to her growing tattoo collection.
In a Snapchat post, the flamboyant singer posted a video clip of her hanging out with renowned celebrity tattoo artist, Mark Mahoney who owns and inks at Shamrock Social Cub.
“WhenI fell in love with David Bowie, I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls,” Gaga told The Hollywood Reporter late last month not long after Bowie's passing.
Lady Gaga picked the iconic Aladdin Sane portrait which was done in Mahoney's classic single-needle, black and grey style in tattooing.
Gaga did not stop there. The tattoo session was only the first leg of her Bowie tribute as she carried it on the way to her electrifying performance in the Grammys and knowing Mother Monster, no one's beats her outfits on the red carpet.
