Lady Gaga has paid tribute to the late David Bowie with an awesome new tattoo, but tattoos and Bowie aren't her only passion.
It's almost common knowledge by now that Lady Gaga paid an 8-minute long tribute to the late David Bowie at the Grammy Awards this year, but the singer did more than that. The result was an awesome tribute tattoo. Believed to be her 18th tattoo the design is that of the iconic album cover from Aladdin Sane.
Gaga revealed the tattoo as it was in progress on her Snapchat.
The tattoo was done by legendary tattoo artist Mark Mahoney at his tattoo shop Shamrock Social Club in West Hollywood, a hotspot for celebrities looking to get some ink. Well accustomed to a tattoo machine Gaga looked relaxed in the video as the portrait took shape on her left side.
Bowie has been a significant influence on the artistry of Lady Gaga and she was the first choice to perform his Grammy tribute. Gaga captioned the Snapchat video with the words 'This was the image that changed my life.'
"When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls" (Gaga speaking about Bowie before his death).
Bowie is now a part of Gaga's growing tattoo collection and she will forever carry her musical muse with her in the shape of her brilliant new tattoo!!
But Gaga is not the only one proudly showing off her tattoos....
...check out the back piece of her fiance, Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney. Last year the two plunged into freezing Lake Michigan for Polar Plunge charity event and here was a chance to get a good look at Kinney's awesome back piece!
