Nicolas Amiard Gives Famous Paintings A Tattoo Makeover

Master photoshopper Nicolas Amiard gives histories most famous works of art a tattoo makeover and the results are incredible!

From the Mona Lisa to the Desperate Man, histories most famous works of art share one common feature: the subjects are body art free, well they were until Nicolas Amiard came along. A master of Photoshop Amiard has taken some of the most iconic paintings from art history and has given them a digital makeover by giving the pictures subjects some awesome tattoos!

Thanks to Amiard, Mona Lisa now has a badass chest piece and Marie Antoinette has some sick sleeve work. The idea for Amiard's project came after he visited an exhibition of classical paintings and was inspired to bring some contemporary art into the mix. He was also interested in how opposites work and the potential art that a 17th century painting could create when combined with some killer ink!

Amiard's work brings together the height of sophisticated art and gives it a tattoo twist that certainly brings new dimensions to famous works of art. Both elegant and cool the tattooed works of art created by Amiard are just brilliant and make for some entertaining viewing.
