No Stencil, Boldness and Primitivism: The Tattoos of Paolo Bosson

Xavier in Tattoo Artists

French tattoo artist is well-loved for his bold tattoos that does not involve the use of—you're not going to believe this—any stencil.

At first glance, Paolo Bosson's tattoos look every part of a typical contemporary art—no fuss minimalism and vague subjects. Paolo's works also possess a style similar to what's known as primitivism, making use of simple lines, basic colors, and bold linework. But that's not the best part of Paolo's stuff. This might mildly shock you but this guy does not use stencil, sketch, or pen drawing on his tattoos. He tattoos freehand.

You read that right. That's what's up with this spontaneous, jet-setting artist from France. And perhaps, that's what his clients love the most about him—the spontaneity. Along with his bizarre linear works with the ghost of Picasso's playing along Bosson's tattoos.
