Tattoo stories don't come much weirder than the bizarre story of deputy mayor Salim Mehajer and this mystery leg sleeve!
Deputy mayor of Auburn, Australia, Salim Mehajer has recently received a lot of media attention for his role as the extravagant deputy mayor of Auburn. He first gained wide spread attention after his 'wedding of the year' where he arrived in a helicopter, had fighter jets fly by and illegally ordered road closures for his wedding procession!! Sadly the playboy council member was last week suspended from his position on the Auburn council after failing to provide details of 'financial interest in a property when voting on changes which would add $1 million to its value'.
Mehajer has also been the subject to a number of controversial court appearances relating to his private businesses, driving record and accusations of intimidation. Although right not all the attention on Mehajer is focused on a tattoo mystery. A tattoo supposedly belonging to Mehajer has been posted all over the internet but according to Mehajer the tattoo isn't his.
While it is perfectly possible that the tattoo doesn't belong to the controversial councilor the subjects of the impressive leg sleeve suggest otherwise. The full leg tattoo features a portrait tattoo of a woman with a striking resemblance to his wife Aysha Mehajer, there is also 'Aysha' written in script along with the initials 'SM' and the word 'millionaire'. Not to mention the crown that has a lot in common with the crown sculpture found above Mehajer's front door!
Images of the tattoo and its progress were shared on Bondi Ink's Instagram page. The tattoo studio is located in Sydney, Australia and has become a hot spot of celebrity clients, one of which is supposedly Mehajer. A resident artist at Bondi Ink described Mehajer as having 'a fair amount of work' done at the shop but keeping his ink a secret from his father.
The mystery tattoo case of Salim Mehajer is certainly an unusual one and one that is rather confusing, is the tattoo his or is it not? According to Mehajer the tattoo is most definitely not his and he's ready to prove it. He told newspaper, Daily Telegraph, 'You have the wrong person. Come visit me I'll show you my legs. Come around next Friday. Give me a call.'
It seems then that we'll have to wait a few days to find the truth about the tattoo and whether it is indeed on Mehajer's leg. Until then the bizarre tattoo mystery will remain just that!!
