Because having emojis on your phone isn't enough- apparently you need them on your body too.
I'll admit it, I'm an avid emoji user. Sometimes there is absolutely no other appropriate response to a text besides the cry-laugh or the praise hands, and sometimes there is no better way to caption a photo of you and your BFF than with the blonde twins. They have, no doubt, become a prominent aspect of modern communication. The Egyptians had hieroglyphics- we have yellow, bubbly cartoons. It is what it is.
The popularity of these funny little symbols has become pretty astronomical, though. They've transcended text messages and taken over well, pretty much everything. Clothing, home decor, Halloween costumes... and now? Tattoos.
.... Temporary ones, at least. I'm sure there are some people out there who've taken the plunge and gone for the real deal, but I'm talking about the wash-off kind for now. And secretly praying that nobody has actually gotten a permanent emoji tattoo.
That's right, folks. The wildly popular flash tattoos that have popped up over the last couple of years are now offering a shiny, gold, emoji option. Yep. You can now have your very own shimmering, gold, smiling pile of shit on your body for a couple of commitment-free days. Dreams do come true.
I can't say for sure if I'll be rocking any of these for myself come summertime, but who knows- a little shine never hurt nobody. What do you guys think?
