Longenecker is proving that you can do anything your heart desires - and do it well. The owner of Endless Summer Tattoo in Cocoa Beach, FL doesn't just stick to tattooing- his passions are much broader than that, and he's acting on it.

Longenecker's entire lifestyle embodies a term he likes to use, "tropistyle." From the tattoos he makes to the music he spins- it's an all-encompassing term that captures the essence of the beach life he leads.

With over 20 years of tattooing experience, he has truly become a master of his craft. Owning his own shop and making it to the final four on Inkmaster are just two very obvious proofs of this.

Having also been a musician from a young age, it was only natural that those skills would make themselves present in his adult life and career. He transitioned from playing his own music to selecting others and arranging it in new and creative ways- becoming a DJ working mostly with Reggae music.

Much like tattooing, Longenecker says that it took years of learning and practicing before he felt he truly knew what he was doing with a turntable. He looked to his DJ mentors and soaked up as much of their knowledge as he could- from there, creating his own DJ style. Sounds a whole lot like a tattoo apprenticeship, doesn't it?

Somehow, all of Longenecker's artistic outlets seem to flawlessly intertwine. He mixes the droning sound of waves with the hum of a tattoo machine and the soulful beats of Reggae music to create a genre of art that is exclusively his, and we dig it. There's something to be said for an artist who can not only be a master of several crafts, but who can also creatively find a way to make them work with one another. Hats off to you, Mark- and keep it up.
