No. I am not right. But regardless, it's still a thing that's happening now.
Cult temporary tat company Tattly took the fake-ink game to another level and has now collaborated with French artist Vincent Jeannerot to create a new line of flowery-looking-and-smelling products.
Jeannerot is a world-renowned painter who has become known for his insanely beautiful botanical watercolors. For over 3o years he has been creating delicate floral paintings that are- I would be willing to say- almost even more beautiful than the real things.
And now, you can temporarily put one of those incredible pieces of art on your body. So you can look at it. And also smell it. I'm getting to that part, don't worry.
Tattly and Jeannerot teamed up to create a set of designs based off of his immaculate depicitions of Hydrangeas, Peonies and Rose la France. THEN, enter Agilex Fragrances who then created corresponding scents for each design. The result is a beautiful, temporary little masterpiece that also makes you smell like a goddamn garden.
The designs are beautiful, there's no denying that. Jeannerot's flowers are stunning. The scented part, I don't know how I feel about it- it's interesting for sure. Necessary? Definitely not. But who knows. I guess a little backup deodorant or built-in perfume never hurt nobody.
