10 Hellfish Tattoos For All Hardcore Simpsons Fans

The biggest Simpsons fans will get the reference with these Hellfish tattoos!

"Now, my story begins in 19-dickety-two. We had to say 'dickety' cause that Kaiser had stolen our word 'twenty.' I chased that rascal to get it back, but gave up after dickety-six miles…"

And so begins one of the most beloved episodes of The Simpsons. In what is one of the very few episodes to revolve around Abe Simpson (you probably just call him Grandpa), "Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in 'The Curse of the Flying Hellfish'" follows the story of Abe's unit from World War II. Serving in the squadron alongside Abe was the richest man in Springfield, Monty Burns, as well as the grandfathers of Chief Wiggum and Principal Skinner.

During the war the soldiers came to possess a bunch of valuable paintings and set up a tontine, meaning the last one of the Flying Hellfish to die would end up inheriting a fortune. Once the squad is down to Burns and Abe things get a little dicey.

Bart: Hey, Grampa, do you think that dead bodies get up and walk around at night?
Abe: If they're anything like me, they have to get up twice.

Even though this episode is pretty much the only one to feature the Flying Hellfish, at least for longer than a passing gag, Simpsons fans around the world have had the squad's insignia tattooed on them, just like Grandpa Simpson did!

Bart: Hey, Grampa, do you thing I could've been a Flying Hellfish?
Abe: You're a gutsy daredevil with a give-em-hell attitude and a 4th grade education. You could've made sergeant.

We adore The Simpsons, and we're guessing that you do too. If you have your very own Simpsons tattoo make sure to share it on the app using the hashtag #TheSimpsons.
