Fascinating Frangipani Tattoos

The fascinating symbolism of the frangipani (plumeria) plant.

Despite being native to Central and South America, the frangipani is deeply rooted in the folklore of various Asian cultures.

This pretty flower has been associated with the dark and macabre, such as vampires in Malaysia, and funerals and death in the Phillipines and Indonesia. However, it seems that those with frangipani tattoos have taken the more tropical approach, keeping it simple and celebrating its beauty.
