Casey Neistat's New Pokémon Go Video Is Both Stressful & Hilarious
The tattooed YouTuber has taken to the streets of NYC in his new viral video, "Pokémon Go In Real Life."
That's right- because I'm sure you're not sick of hearing about Pokemon Go yet, here's another fucking article about it. But before you get pissed- this one is actually super entertaining.
Tattooed internet personality, filmaker, founder of social media empire Beme, and now creator of an HBO series Casey Neistat has created yet another viral (and insanely stressful, for nervous wrecks like myself) video in the wake (or in the midst of, actually) the recent Pokémon Go phenomenon.
Neistat teamed up with fellow YouTuber Ben Brown to take Pokémon Go to the streets- literally. Atop Boosted Boards- powered skateboards created by start-up company Boosted- and simply dressed as the primary Pokémon characters. The two weave in and out of traffic, civilians, and police officers (yeah, they get in some trouble) throughout NYC and the reactions around them are priceless- and I'm not gonna lie, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. IS HE GONNA CATCH HIM? IS HE GONNA CATCH 'EM ALL? My old ass can't take this kind of stress.

Sure, the whole Pokémon Go craze is getting kind of annoying. If I see one more Facebook status or Instagram meme about the damn game I might gouge my eyes out. However, you gotta take it for what it is. It's actually pretty awesome to see young adults totally wrapped up in the nostalgia of a childhood game- let alone watching an entirely new generation fall in love with it for the first time. Not to mention- anything that gets kids (and adults) off their asses, outside and being active- well I guess it can't be that bad.
Check out Neistat and Brown's shenanigans below.
