Even some blackwork tattoo artists need to take a rest from their daily routine of heavy inking and bold pieces. While some blackworkers go for darker and bolder works, South Korean tattooer Popo (not to be confused with tattoo artist Zhang Po) has a soft spot for simpler pieces that consist of script tattoos of his casually cool handwriting, offbeat-inspired pieces, and a mash up of kawaii and soft trash. He keeps a separate Instagram account for his linework pieces which he likes to refer as doodles, hence, his alternative artistic alias.
South Korean tattoo artists are mostly known for their subtle and borderline micro tattoos. While Popo's doodle works lean towards micro pieces, he designs them with neat, bolder lines and casual minimalism.
