Since the sudden death of the movie's star (and wrestling legend), 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper, there has been a surge of people getting They Live themed tattoos.
The movie might be almost three decades old, but its themes still ring true in today's society - probably now, more than ever. While our world (probably) isn't run by aliens, They Live exposed commercial culture, mass spending and just how manipulative the media can be.
We could all take a page out of John Nada's (Roddy Piper) book, and closely examine what we believe to be true. If that fails, just repeat the film's most famous line "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum," and fight for what's right.
A They Live tattoo can really sum up what the film is all about - so pop on your shades and see the world for what it truly is.
