As I've noticed, tattoo artists in Australia focus on mostly traditional and neo traditional styles — as you may have previously seen in the unsettlingly sexy works of Jamie August (big boy pin ups) and the rad traditional pop culture works of Zane Donnellan aka Gooney Tunes. They're into bright and bold pieces with lots of pronounced outlines and vivid colors.
Sam Kane from Sydney is doing the best he can, reppin’ OZ, with his creative flashes of skulls designed with lively sceneries in order to create eye-catching pieces. He does this type of thing by the dozen, but he's also got his fair share of pop culture-themed works where he artfully tries to incorporate as much elements of a certain part of a film and retain hints of the features of the skull while he's at it.
Anybody who's tried drawing optical illusions will know how difficult this is so I'm giving mad props to Sam for killing it and once more in his skull tattoos. He's got some classics like Indiana Jones and Edward Scissorhands in here as well as TV hits like Breaking Bad. There's more here!
