Digital Bodies: Temporary Face Tattoo Art by John Yuyi

Photography and artistic expression come together in this interesting project by artist John Yuyi.

These bizarre and beautiful photography collections by the Taiwanese-born, NYC-based artist explore the power of social media, the body and everyday objects.

In her most recent series, titled 'Julia's Twitter', the model's body is adorned with temporary tattoos of a Twitter profile.

The strange juxtaposition of digital media and skin has something to say about the power of social media- it' unusual and unnatural nature, and the impact it can have on our minds and bodies.

The photos also explore the strength of images on the skin, their status as a powerful mode for communicating ourselves - just like real tattoos.
