The Electrifying Abstract Pointillism of Bleck
Belgian tattooer Bleck creates pointillism as you've never seen before with his carefully crafted—dot by precise dot—modernist works.
Minimalism and modernism converge in Belgian tattoo artist Bleck's dotwork tattoos. An abstract tattoo artist, Bleck, mostly designs his tattoos with muted grayscale effects, arcane symbolisms, and sacred geometric elements. His style is a perfect example of a contemporary tattoo piece that epitomizes modern minimalism with a bite.
Having experimented with several aspects of blackwork such as woodcut and linework, Bleck mostly settled on his current style which leans towards pointillism. While he's no stranger to concrete designs, he prefers on working with pieces that are less coherent to a certain object; more on abstract designs that give him plenty of space to expand works on.
Some of Bleck's works also have this unique lightning effect created by pointillism techniques in shading by gradually thickening or toning down dotwork on an area to make it appear darker or lighter. He then goes over them by creating pronounced negative spaces that make his pieces stand out.
Whoa, check out this insane snakeskin design!
