Abby Drielsma is not just some tattooed bottle blonde chick with irregularly glorious brows and eyeliner. Wait 'til you get to see her impressive works and you'll know just where she got all that "on fleek" brow and liner skills from. Abby is an awesome blackwork tattoo artist working off Hidden Moon Tattoo in Melbourne Australia.
Abby's works consist of mostly medieval elements and women that remind me of goddesses in Greek sculptures. She keeps it as elegantly archaic as possible with tattoos of winged maidens, mermaids, swords, and Gothic architecture. Her blackwork style is very heavy on fine linework and dotwork and -shading. Unlike most blackwork, hers focus on shading and detailing rather than negative spaces and pronounced outlines.
The shadings on some of her works look so fine that they look like the layered grey undertones of black and grey tattoos. Abby makes it a point to put as much dimension as possible on what could have been flat, woodcut type of blackwork tattoos.
