18-year-old Sophie Hodgkinson was charged with assault after allegedly giving tattoos to children aged nine, ten, and 11.
The teenager apparently gave two of the children heart tattoos and the other child got a tattoo of one of the Minions characters from the film Despicable Me.
Umm...I'm sorry, Ms. Hodgkinson, but what the fuck? You know that kids change their minds about what they like every 2 seconds, right? You chose to willingly put one of these things on a kid's body permanently?
^ One of those is on a kid's body now. Forever.
That little thing that looks like a Twinkie came to life and sprouted arms and gained sentience is what you willing put on an underage person's body forever.
Look, I get it, a lot of people love Minions, and I'm sure there are many, many consenting adults with their imagery on their bodies (in fact, I know), but you can't just give it to a kid! Age of consent is a thing, a real thing, a thing that actually has meaning — you know, like REAL LEGAL MEANING.
Hodgkinson avoided jail time for the incident after being sentenced to an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and handed a two-month curfew from 8pm to 8am.
Hodgkinson ordered the tattooing equipment online, and during the time of the incident, was apparently under the influence of cannabis. Well yeah, I guess it all makes sense now. That must have been some DANK weed to make her think that this was a good idea.
Let it be known, it's not cool to tattoo people who are under the age of consent, and it could lead to some serious penalties, as it should. Make sure you know what you're doing and who you're doing it with before you sign off on any kind of tattoo.
