The Warcraft franchise is one of Blizzard's longest standing and most successful game series, and though we've reported on Overwatch as well as Starcraft, we thought it was high time that we quested for some tattoos from its fictional universe. We weren't disappointed either. In fact, Warcraft has more quality tattoo homages than any of the others that we've covered so far. So, make sure you've got the right items equipped, because here are some excellent depictions of characters from the World of Warcraft (WOW) by some of the best tattoo portraitists in our world.
"You summon a Demon Lord against Warriors of the horde? Your deaths will be swift!"
You know what is better than drinking a beer? Brewing your own beer. And then drinking it. And then ... drinking another beer."
The sheer amount of iconic characters from Warcraft's many installments speaks to how beloved the game series is. Above, we see depictions of legendary figures from almost every race, including blood elves, dwarven snipers, demon hunters, Worgen druids, and even Pandaren monks.
"Then the hour has come at last. After today, the Scourge will meet its end! Can you hear me out there, Arthas? Its end!"
Arthas Merethil as the Lich King and Illidan Stormrage are by far the most popular characters that have been memorialized as tattoos. It's no surprise really though, because they do have some of the most captivating lore behind them as well as some of the best character designs that Blizzard has ever produced. These illustrations of them take us right back to their battle at the foot of the Frozen Throne.
We hope you enjoyed nerding out to these portraits straight out of WOW.
