BREAKING NEWS — Justin Bieber Doesn't Want to Be Famous Anymore

The Biebs posted on Instagram that he feels like a zoo animal and he's not a fan.

The "Son of God" Justin Bieber apparently is sick of being a famous, singer, multi-millionaire. The beloved singer took to social media, something he hasn't done in a while, to voice his concerns for his sanity and address his fans who think he owes them something.

In a block of text that has since been taken down, Bieber said this...

"If you happen to see me out somewhere, know that I'm not gonna take a picture, I'm done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won't even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity. I realize people will be disappointed, but I don't owe anybody a picture. And people who say 'but I bought your album,' know that you got my album and you got what you paid for AN ALBUM! It doesn't say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo."

If you've been following Bieber's recent developments in the past few months, you'd know that he seems to be coming unhinged. Recently, he punched one of his fans in the face for reaching into his car as he drove by. Combine this with his erratic behavior over the past few years, and you probably could have seen this coming.

Not only has he taken a stand against taking pictures with fans, he has claimed that Instagram is "for the devil." He has had an on/off relationship with the social media site, but this seems to show that he has taken a more steady stand against the social media juggernaut.

It's easy to see both sides of the equation. On one side, Bieber is relentlessly hounded on social media, and in public, by fans and haters. It can definitely wear on your psyche, and you really start to feel bad for the guy. I don't think he can go anywhere without security guards following him, making sure people don't assault him or harass him. It must be insane to live that kind of life, I can't imagine it. This is the kind of fame that caused Britney Spears to shave her head and have a full-blown meltdown. It's the kind of notoriety that led to Dave Chappelle quitting his acclaimed show and moving to Africa. Hell, even Eminem admitted to having difficulties dealing with the stardom in his songs and in interviews, and it caused him to heavily abuse prescription medication.

On the other side, what did you expect? If you want to be a famous musician/singer/superstar, you're going to have to deal with some of these negative aspects of celebrity. Along with the millions of dollars and the ability to afford just about any pleasure money can buy, you are going to have to deal with people following you around. It's hard to be a superstar musician while maintaining some form of anonymity.

It makes you feel bad for Bieber. But there are other things that make you not feel bad for him, like when he was pissing in public. Some could argue that was symptomatic of the "fame monster" that haunts this poor little Canadian boy around. It becomes a chicken/egg scenario. Did fame make Bieber a douchebag, or was he always a douchebag and fame just put a blinding spotlight on his douchebaggery?

It seems like Biebs is finally fed up with it all. He's been a celebrity since he was a child, and not many people can relate to that experience. I'm sure it has something to do with his dickishness, but can we really blame him if we've never experienced the kind of insanity that goes along with that level of celebrity?

I think comedian Bill Burr explained it best in his interview on Conan, where he tries to give people some insight as to why Bieber might be an asshole.

That take perfectly depicts the dichotomy of feelings people have towards Justin Bieber. On one hand, you feel bad for him, but then he's just such an asshole, that your feelings of sympathy are immediately erased.

Regardless, I'm sure if all of Bieber's fans went away tomorrow, he'd be pining for them back. If his next album is a flop, he'll be looking back for the glory days. Live it up while you can, Bieber. It's not going to be around forever. Unless it is. In which case, handle yourself like Justin Timberlake. That dude is a beast and has never really had a public meltdown. I wish we could all be a bit more like Justin Timberlake.
