In order for you to be a successful person in any aspect of life, you need to look to a muse for inspiration. Whether you want to be a great musician, a great writer, a great cook, you need to have something that you can look to that makes you want to achieve massive levels of success. You gotta search within you and find that inner strength, and just pull that shit out of you, and get that motivation to not give up, and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face, and collapse.
Odell Beckham Jr. has a visual prompt that he confronts every single day that reminds him that he wants to be The Greatest, and nothing less. On his wrist, Beckham had the words "20 Touchdowns" tattooed just before training camp started, to remind him to strive to be the greatest wide receiver in the sport, and to never stop aiming for the stars.
Beckham's old LSU roommate, Brad Wing, told the story of how he got the tattoo to the New York Post. "Before he even got it, he told me he was getting it," Wing said. "You see it every day, you kinda want to make it reality, so … I joked with him, 'What are you gonna do when you beat it? You gotta get another tattoo upping the ante.'"
Wing is positive when it comes to Beckham's goals. "You can go a game without a touchdown, or you can have a game with three touchdowns, so it’s hard to say, but I definitely believe it’s an attainable goal for him, I think anything’s possible with him."
Beckham is very secretive about this tattoo, and hasn't shared it in a photo, but I'm sure we will eventually get a glimpse of his motivational tool.
We can't know when Beckham will reach the 20 touchdown mountaintop, but he's almost halfway there this season with 8 touchdown receptions. With 5 games left, it's perfectly possible for him to get to 20, but it would be a long shot. He probably will need to keep striving for that 20 next season. Judging by Beckham's talent, it seems like that's doable.
