Demi Lovato, the singer who gave us the classic hit, "Cool for the Summer," apparently has gotten bit by the acting bug. After working on Smurfs: The Lost Village, Lovato wanted to kickstart her career as an actress. She was so inspired by working on the film that she actually thought about pursuing more roles.
That all came to a screeching halt when she thought about all the tattoos she has. Lovato recently told Entertainment Tonight, "I think I have too many tattoos now. You’d have to cover all my tattoos up and it would take forever."
I guess the acting bug didn't bite too hard, eh?
Lovato said that she also enjoyed doing the voiceover for Smurfs: The Lost Village, which is supposed to come out in April 2017, because of the freedom it allowed her to have.
"I was able to act and not be in front of a camera, which was really nice," she told ET. "I didn’t have to go through hair and make up, and I didn’t have to worry about my camera angles and what not. So, it was nice to be as animated as I wanted to be, play with my voice and to just have fun with it."
She then followed up that quote with this gem, "I am not meant for this business and the media…It doesn’t feel worth it anymore. I’d rather do charity work."
Well, I guess she doesn't really want to act anymore. That was a short desire. It was a nice career for Demi Lovato.
Anyone who really has been bitten by the acting bug would probably be cool with sitting through hair and makeup, getting their tattoos covered up. So, I'm sorry Demi, but I don't buy it. I think you were NOT bitten by the acting bug.
