#ARTSHARE: Morgwn Pennypacker & His Signature Pennypacker Skulls

The badass and totally unique work by one of our favorite tattooers, Morgwn Pennypacker.

It pretty much goes without saying that Morgwn Pennypacker has quite a huge fan base.

Morgwn has been tattooing since 1994. Drawing great influence from his parents- who are both artists- as well as his time spent in the military, Morgwn's work is heavily inspired by American Traditional style.

Morgwn learned to tattoo under Dave Gibson of Lucky’s Tattoo Parlor in San Diego C.A. There, he worked alongside Gibson for 4 years- learning all aspects of American Traditional tattooing- from tattooing, to painting, to customer service.

Since then, Morgwn worked at Miami Ink/Love Hate for 7 years and currently tattoos out of Love Hate Social Club here in NYC. Over the years, he's worked alongside tons and tons of powerhouse tattooers, such as Dave Gibson, Eric Inksmith, Ami James, Chris Garver, Chris Nunez, Darren Brass, Tim Hendricks, Jimmy Coffin, Luke Wessman, Mike Wilson, Gary Gaulke, Freddy Corbin, Dan Dringenberg, Troy Denning and many others- all who have played a big part in his development and growth as an artist.

While Morgwn is an extremely multi-talented tattoo artist-able to flawlessly execute a variety of styles- his fine art is IMPECCABLE, and a style entirely his own. His signature Pennypacker Skulls are, for lack of a better term, the fucking SHIT. Bold lines, bright colors, varying textures and ranging in every size imaginable- You can spot a Pennypacker piece from a mile away.

So without further adieu, check out some of our favorite Pennypacker works below.
