In Raike's work you'll find a mixture of dark and intense imagery like skulls and classic horror movie characters, but there's also lovely renditions of flowers and animals. Depending on what the piece needs, Raike can do soft and smooth black and greys, but also richer black saturation for the more eerie subject matter.
Raike's depictions of Dracula and the Bride of Frankenstein are two of my favorites. The shading techniques he's used in those portraits really makes the characters look like they've stepped right out of the vintage black and white horror movies.
