COVID-19: Artist Support Plan

COVID-19: Artist Support Plan

Tattoo Artists3 min Read

In light of tattoo shop closures and loss of income for artists, we've devised a Tattoodo Artist Support Plan to help.

Dear Tattoo Artists and Friends,

As we all know, tattooing is a hands-on gig and, due to COVID-19, studios worldwide have been forced to operate at a limited capacity or fully close their doors — leaving many in this industry without income or little clue as to when they will be able to tattoo again.

In these times of uncertainty and physical separation, we believe it’s important now, more than ever, to come together in solidarity for those who are unable to work and support their families.

We have always been dedicated to supporting tattoo artists. We see this not only as a job we love, but as a celebration of a community that we are grateful to be a part of. We would not be here without you, and we want to help. Here’s our plan…

Tattoodo PRO is now Free for all Artists & Studios

We will be waiving the subscription fees of our PRO Service for all Artists & Studios around the world through July 1st. Even though you are not able to accept appointments for the next little while, there are many other ways you can use Tattoodo to strengthen your digital presence and connect with future clients. We're here to help you come out stronger on the other side of this unfortunate situation.

Learn From The Best

As a new initiative during these times of quarantine, we're creating an Art Class Series so you can connect with world-class tattooers for drawing tutorials and more. This is an exclusive weekly series that highlights the talents of artists like Chris Garver. You'll receive your own personal link to access the live classes, as well as a final link to the recorded video so you can always access high-quality tutorials whenever you like.

Promoting Artwork on Instagram

In an effort to be of service to the tattoo community during this time, we will also be reposting for-sale artwork on our Instagram and Facebook profiles. If you or a tattoo artist you know has been impacted by a shop closure and is currently drawing, painting or creating for their rent - tag #TATTOODO on the available artwork, and we’ll do our best to repost everything we see!

Stay safe out there and please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or ideas about how we can continue to help.

All the best,
