Working out of Sinister Ink in Perth, Western Australia, Khail produces some incredible realism tattoos. His dynamic tattoos just pop right off the skin. He uses rich color saturation in his color tattoos, and the perfect mix of deep blacks and shades of grey in his black and grey pieces.
But I find the true test of realism tattoo artists is the desire to reach out and touch the pieces - they're almost interactive despite being two dimensional.
Khail has the ability to make ink in the skin look like metal; all shimmery and shiny. Or the skin on a portrait look so soft and smooth. He can make the Cookie Monster's cookies look so tasty that you just want to eat one. Or even create such defined and shiny fur on Chewbacca that you're tempted to run your fingers through those luscious locks.
Take a look at Khail Aitken's work and see if you can resist the temptation to touch.
