If pin up ladies are here to stay anyway, why not throw in some katanas, machineries, and a whole lot of hardcore Japanese elements while we're at it?
If you're looking for something that's a step above your regular pin ups, you came to the right place. Don't get me wrong, I love pin ups in any way (hence, the glorious big boy pin ups) as long as they're not blatant affronts to the timeless female beauty, but it's not every day you get to see a series of pin up illustrations that are bound to capture your undivided attention. Buckle up.
Deseo is an illustrator and tattoo artist based in Austin, Texas. He used to work on a lot of conceptual designs and original character illustrations that were heavy with Japanese elements, mech, and alternative subcultures. Aside from illustration, Deseo also delves into tattooing, experimenting with American Traditional and black and grey with a little of pointillism on the side.
For years, he's been working on an epic untitled series of pin up-inspired illustrations featuring fierce warrior women sporting incredible tattoo designs. Clad in knee-high tube socks, ripped crop tops, and the whole Lara Croft-esque getup, these tattooed women took it up a notch with hardcore Japanese armor, katanas, and even energy-fuelled attacks straight out of Dragon Ball Z. Almost makes you wonder why you haven't heard of this guy yet.
