Get Caught Up In a Web of Spider-Man Tattoos

To celebrate the release of ‘Homecoming,’ we’re slinging up some rad tattoos of everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

This weekend saw the opening of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the second complete reboot of the film franchise and the sixth overall installment. The film was king of the box office, with a take just shy of $120 million.. The film follows a high school-aged Peter Parker as he grows into a full-fledged superhero and is a welcome breath of fresh air for one of the world’s most beloved comic book characters. To celebrate the film’s release, we’ve webbed together some totally awesome Spider-Man tattoos.

One refreshing aspect of the new reboot is that it doesn’t offer up a tired origin story for the beloved webslinger. Though being bitten by a radioactive spider is mentioned in passing, the film instead opens with the origin story of the main antagonist, The Vulture, played by Oscar winner Michael Keaton. Fellow Oscar winner Marisa Tormei takes over the role of Aunt May, who for once isn’t portrayed as being extremely elderly. Marvel Cinematic Universe regulars Robert Downey Jr, Jon Favreau, and Gwenyth Paltrow all show up in Homecoming, along with hilarious bit parts from Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, and Martin Starr.

There you have it. There’s a new Spider-Man movie and we’ve got the Spider-Man tattoos to go with it. It’s a formula that works, just like the tone Homecoming’s filmmakers hit upon. We sincerely hope we get to enjoy Tom Holland’s take on Spider-Man a few more times before the inevitable third reboot.
