Screamo Tattoos, Because Chaos Is Meme

There is so much happy here as we remember the legends of early 2000s screamo in tattoos

Look, I’m just going to come out and say this: more than one member of our staff was way into screamo music 15 years ago. We all go through embarrassing phases when we are younger, and, sometimes, the tattoo choice of a youthful mind can leave a haunting impression. Be it Pokemon nerd, band geek, or teen goth, we all have chapters from our lives we’d like to not revisit. But you know what, fuck it, we are not at all ashamed of our screamo days.

*A note on the etymology of “skramz.” One day my friend Alex Bigman (of Seeing Means More fame) posted on the world’s premier screamo message board, VivaLaVinyl, and announced he was going to try to replace the word “screamo” with “skramz,” which he had coined, and see if it would catch on. The fact that a Google search returns over 75,000 results for “skramz” is a testament to the power of the internet that I am forever in awe of.
