Shawn Mendes Reveals the Sweet Meaning Behind his Guitar Tattoo
It might just look like a guitar, but it's so much more.
Shawn Mendes, a popular Canadian singer-songwriter who gained fame via Vine, recently revealed the meaning behind his guitar tattoo.
With a quick glance, one might think that his tattoo is just representative of music and playing music, his bread and butter. But as Mendes explained, there is much more to the tattoo than meets the eye.
Mendes told Ellen Degeneres during a recent interview, "It’s the woods’ reflection on water and a sound wave connecting to the city, which is Toronto. Actually, the sound wave is my parents and my sister saying ‘I love you.’ So it’s a connection between home, work, and family."
Holy crap. That's so much more than just another tattoo of a guitar. Dude jam-packed more meaning into one tattoo than many people do in an entire sleeve. Kudos, Mr. Mendes. Keep up the good work.
